Welcome to the community portal for the Gisolfi Family. This website is dedicated to the descendants of Vincenza Prisco and Ernesto Gisolfi. However it is intended to serve the community of relatives genealogically connected either through the ancestors, siblings or decedents of Hugo Gisolfi and Jean Del Giacco.

While this website will contain some degree of genealogy content, the purpose of this family portal is to leverage the internet to re-establish family ties. As with many Italian-Americans, our family membership has both sprawled across America and diversified beyond Italian roots over the last century since Vincenza and Ernesto first arrived in America. Although culture and heritage remain an important part of our lives, physical distance and the complexities of life in the twenty-first century have made it difficult to stay connected with family members. While there is no substitution for quality face time, the realities of our lifestyles suggest that alternative means of communications should be explored. This collaboration portal serves as a technology enabler towards the endeavor of bringing us together as a virtual community with family ties.

Our community portal serves two purposes. First it establishes a central place on the web where community members can establish their own web presence for content such as resumes and blogs. Secondly, community members can login and dive into the private domain of our portal. Relatives can use their membership accounts to access restricted content on this site.
